What you will do:
Provide technical leadership for a team of engineers to architect, design and implement complex and scalable systems with high availability, performance, security, and cost in mind.
Solve difficult problems in a creative manner in a timely fashion.
Act as the go-to expert in at least one technical area and have a very good working knowledge of the broader architecture of the entire system.
Participate in cross-business technical reviews, provides feedback on projects outside of their core area.
Strongly influence the decision on resolving/diagnosing/monitoring the overall system & platform.
Identify key problems affecting their team and adopt innovative technical solutions to solve them.
Partner with product and other teams to actualize a product strategy informed by technology.
You need to have:
A track record of providing technical leadership for a team to build stability, performance, and scalability across major business-critical systems.
Experience running and leading a large part of the project deliverable alone.
A clear understanding of the relationship between complexity and cost and a record of successfully devising and implementing long-term strategies to lower it.
Demonstrated experience of professional software engineering practices and the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, architecture/design patterns, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
Experience with C#, SQL, CI/CD, Infrastructure as code, and cloud technologies (AWS)
Strong knowledge and experience of professional software engineering practices and the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, architecture/design patterns, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
Familiarity with Kubernetes and Spark is a plus.
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
7 years of software development experience in the development of commercial applications using modern software engineering principles and practices.
