Job Description

The Building People is looking for a Director of Workforce Transformation. The Director will play a pivotal role within The Building People's Workforce Transformation and Organizational Development business unit, working closely with senior leaders in the federal government and commercial sectors to drive organizational strategy and transformation. The ideal candidate will be an experienced government and commercial consulting professional with a deep understanding of behavioral science and data analytics, capable of providing strategic insights and designing innovative solutions to complex organizational challenges. This role presents an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to lead high-impact projects and shape the future of organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage consulting engagements, working collaboratively with senior leaders to align organizational strategy with desired outcomes.
  • Utilize advanced qualitative and quantitative techniques to analyze complex information and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships based on credibility, trust, and expertise.
  • Effectively communicate complex ideas and strategies to senior executives and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and mentor junior consultants, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth within the team.
  • Identify strategic growth opportunities and lead the capture on identified opportunities.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate educational workshops and training programs, leveraging behavioral science and data analytics tools such as Predictive Index.
  • Provide expert guidance on key performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives and key results (OKRs), assisting organizations in their development and management.
  • Design workflows and operational charts to optimize organizational efficiency.
  • Manage project or program requirements effectively, ensuring timely delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Demonstrate project management and financial acumen by understanding project profitability and job-costing.
  • Contribute to proposal writing and business development efforts to expand the consulting practice.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in consulting or a related field, with a focus on organizational development and transformation.
  • Proven track record of leading successful consulting engagements and driving organizational change.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research methods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate others.
  • Experience with behavioral science tools and data analytics platforms, such as Predictive Index, is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with a focus on mentorship and team development.
