We are currently seeking an Infrastructure Engineer with an active Secret clearance as part of an ongoing contract in Washington, DC. This is a full-time, hybrid role three (3) days on-site two (2) days remote AFTER TRAINING.

Please note: Due to the secure nature of this government agency, all candidates must be a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident and have an active Secret clearance.

The successful candidate will receive a contingent offer based on the outcome of a government background check. This may take several weeks, and the candidate cannot begin actual employment until the background check is successfully completed.

The Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining IT infrastructure solutions to support the needs of government and commercial clients. They will work closely with project teams to deploy and optimize infrastructure components, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security.

Primary Duties:

• Design, deploy, and maintain IT infrastructure components, including servers, storage, networking, and virtualization technologies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, assess technical needs, and develop infrastructure solutions that meet business objectives.
• Monitor and optimize infrastructure performance, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise for infrastructure-related issues, implementing timely resolutions to minimize downtime.
• Conduct regular assessments and evaluations of infrastructure components, recommending improvements and enhancements as needed.

Qualifications include:

• MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in infrastructure engineering or related field.
• Experience with designing, deploying, and maintaining IT infrastructure solutions.
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts and technologies.
• Proficiency in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.

Preferred certifications/education:

• Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or CompTIA Network+.
