Job Description

As a Kafka DevOps Engineer, you will collaborate with our clients to help design, implement, maintain, and test various technical solutions using the latest technologies. You will also be responsible for creating and enhancing Continuous Integration (CI)/Continuous Delivery (CD) pipelines and multiple kinds of automation processes (build management, automated deployments, automated testing, configuration management, etc.).


What You'll Be Doing

  • Design and implement data pipelines using Apache Kafka.
  • Collaborate with other development teams to integrate Kafka with various data sources and sinks.
  • Develop streaming applications by using Kafka Streams and Kafka Connect.
  • Ensure data integrity and security by implementing proper data access and encryption methods.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize Kafka clusters for performance and reliability.
  • Deep understanding of the Kafka Platform.
  • Create Kafka-based applications using KTables, Kstreams, KSQL, and SMTs.
  • Create/updating of Kafka connectors.

Location and Travel Details

This is a remote position with occasional travel (if needed).


Profile of Success

  • Minimum of five years of experience.
  • Experience with Kafka:
    • Experience with Kafka Architecture, Confluent preferred.
    • Expertise with deploying and maintaining Kafka as a Platform.
    • Experience with onboarding workloads
    • Connector setup and maintenance for sources and sinks.
  • Help teams with transformations.
  • Ensure proper RBAC.
  • Production Kubernetes experience preferably with AKS.
  • Expertise with Helm chart creation and maintenance
  • Terraform expertise - module creation
  • CI/CD experience.
