This position is responsible for the strategic leadership, management, oversight and development of Atlantic Union Bank's Treasury Management suite of product capabilities as well as analytical support of the business via reporting, revenue tracking and evaluation. In this role this individual is responsible for managing a product management team whose members who are focused on key fundamental sub-product verticals including payables, receivables, liquidity and purchase card. Among responsibilities: developing and overseeing the bank's mix of services and capabilities inclusive of implementation oversight, competitive functionality, pricing and profitability as well as assessing market conditions and emerging trends which may be a driver to for specific institutional need and filling key service and product gaps. In this position it is imperative that this individual coordinate and collaborate with the Treasury Sales Manager, the sales team and key line of business partners in Technology, Operations and Digital Strategy around product strategies and programs that will enable the sales organization to achieve fee and deposit growth and increase relationship penetration. This role requires a deep working knowledge of key industry products and functionalities that drive working capital management within the corporate treasury structure.

Position Accountabilities

  • Proactively manages a team of product managers in their oversight of a broad suite of Treasury Management products and services which are targeted and applicable for use by commercial and business banking clients and prospects as part of a larger wholesale business strategy.
  • Maintains keen awareness of industry influences impacting the treasury management product space.
  • Maintains competitive product and pricing information and data to potentially be used in RFP situations where comparison detail may be useful and as part of an annual pricing strategy.
  • Develops database of competitive fee and rate structures to be referenced in specific situations where this detail may be useful.
  • Spearheads efforts relating to Treasury Management product policies and procedures in the context of regulatory reviews.
  • Actively engages with RFP and one-off client responses as well as provides specific guidance on key product capability questions and inquiries.
  • Develops and provides actionable client target lists for specific product offerings based upon applicable criteria.
  • Participates directly in client-facing engagements in appropriate situations where product expertise may be a differentiating factor.
  • Maintains awareness of the trends and new developments in the coordination, development and execution of new and existing services.
  • Works internally with finance to increase understanding and visibility of product costs with an eye toward building enhanced product profitability modeling.
  • Provides consulting support, guidance and training to enhance and increase sales officer productivity and development where appropriate.
  • Collaborates with peer Line of Business managers on projects, initiatives and broader strategic relationship development efforts.

Position Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in banking or financial services
  • 4-5 years of experience in financial service product management or related experience in banking services and/or product development
  • CTP designation preferred

Knowledge & Skills

  • Demonstrated knowledge and deep understanding of Treasury Management products and concepts
  • Aware of key industry fundamentals that have and will continue to shape top prioritization efforts around new products and service
  • Organizational experience in managing and navigating across multiple business lines in order to gain consensus
  • Ability to think and act strategically and independently in the development of product strategies
  • Understanding of the Agile development process and project management systems
  • Strong data management skillset and analytical capabilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to mobilize and influence internal resources

Salary offered will be based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. This position is also eligible to participate in either an applicable incentive compensation plan for the position or a discretionary profit sharing bonus program.
