Position Description Summary:
There are opportunities for academic medical oncologists with either a subspecialty focus in GI malignancies or GU malignancies to respectively lead these sections within the Division of Hematology & Oncology at the George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates, an independent non-profit clinical practice group affiliated with the George Washington University. The Division of Hematology/Oncology of the Department of Medicine is a key component of the Oncology Service line within the George Washington Cancer Center (GWCC). The GWCC brings together the resources of the University, the GW Medical Faculty Associates, and the GW University Hospital to expand current treatment and research efforts in the fight against cancer and to position our institution as the premier cancer care provider in the Washington, D.C. area.

The non-tenure-track appointments will be made at the rank of associate or full Professor, and salary commensurate with experience. .
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
These are clinical leadership positions, with robust support for program building, leading the clinical research efforts, and teaching of students, house staff, and fellows. The position entails a mix of outpatient care and staffing of an inpatient service.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must have four years of progressive experience in their respective subspecialty, be board certified in medical oncology at the time of appointment, and be eligible for licensure in the District of Columbia. Experience in clinical investigations and medical education are required.
