The Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) in the College of Engineering at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University - Daytona Beach invites applications for several tenure-track positions at the Assistant Professor level.

Candidates must hold a terminal degree in computer science or electrical, computer, systems engineering, or closely related fields. The department's research focus areas include machine learning, modeling and simulation, autonomous systems, sense and avoid technology, cybersecurity, high-assurance software and systems, wireless communications, and sensing technologies - all with an orientation toward applications in the aerospace and aviation industry. Priority consideration will be given to candidates who have prospective research contribution to the Center for Aerospace Resilience, one of the University's established Centers of Excellence.

EECS is home to 19 faculty members and multiple degrees: thePh.D. degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science; M.S. degrees inCybersecurity Engineering,Electrical and Computer Engineering,Software Engineering,Systems Engineering, andUnmanned and Autonomous Systems Engineering; and B.S. degrees inComputer Engineering,Computer Science,Electrical Engineering, andSoftware Engineering. The department offers an inclusive, collegial, and highly collaborative faculty member environment, with far-reaching efforts in multidisciplinary challenges. The department is proud of its high-quality education programs and its nearly 100% placement rate in the industry or academic institutions. It possesses outstanding research resources such as laboratories in the John Mica Engineering and Aerospace Innovation Complex, and recent student support grants such as the National Science Foundation (NSF) CyberCorps Scholarships for Service (SFS) , the NSF Scholarships in STEM (S-STEM), and two NSF Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) programs.

EECS seeks candidates who can expand the department's research expertise, as well as deliver student-centered teaching and provide mentoring to undergraduate and graduate students.
