McBoss stands for Marine Corp Business Operations Support Services that is a multi-platform, cloud-enabled environment which allows customers in the Navy and Marines to access and build applications for Marine Corp and Navy use. These services are being leveraged on multiple teams that support security, operations, container applications, and built within a DevSecOps lifecycle. It is a PaaS (Platform as a Service) model that develops and modernizes new systems and applications with the policies within the DoD Directive for Information Technology implementation and portfolio management.
The mission of the U.S. Marines is to analyze, develop, and direct the Marine Corps' energy strategy in order to optimize expeditionary capabilities across all warfighting functions.
Responsible for developing the overall DevSecOps and Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) architecture of complex systems. Select tools, technologies, and methodologies that support automated build, deploy, operation, and monitoring of systems. Coordinates across cross-functional teams to remove impediments to CI/CD in order to accelerate capability delivery and increase the quality and reliability of operational system. Ultimately responsible for the DevSecOps architecture of the system.
