What does a great Senior Software Development Engineer do?

Work with global partners to establish communications between Data Centers and cloud providers to supply modern content for Travelport customers.

Responsibilities include:

• Develop and maintain communications software that supports conversations between systems
• Meet with the IT and design team to discuss and detail requirements.
• Interact with content providers to develop new and enhance existing communications to extend to other systems
• Implement quality and performance testing modules.
• Identifying bottlenecks or bugs and troubleshoot integration issues.
• Establish repeatable testing for code quality and durability.
• Maintain the deployment automation

Who we are looking for in this role:

• C experience on both AIX and Linux
• Understanding software components and their interface requirements with other APIs and systems (i.e., virtualized, containerized, or hardware).
• Knowledge of sockets, shared memory, multi-threading, high availability, and high transaction rates implementations.
• Ability to design and code software extensible in multiple locations under high resiliency standards
• Extensive knowledge of communication protocols
• Knowledge of MQ client desirable
• 8-10 years' Experience in programming and development with C

Salary Target/Range: $145,000 - $155,000

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
