Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer with five+ years of experience who is interested in building and leading a mechanical engineering team in our Atlanta office. The ideal candidate should be a self-motivated team player looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity within a dynamic and progressive firm.

This position offers the opportunity to work on impactful and complex projects including healthcare, laboratory, commercial, Department of Defense, higher education, etc.The successful individual will work closely with our team and take a proactive role in marketing and business development. This role provides the opportunity to help build, manage, and mentor a strong team of engineering professionals within a collaborative multidiscipline office. The ideal candidate will leverage our strong network of existing clients and coordinate with our regional electrical engineering team to provide MEP services in the area.

We are looking for a leader who works effectively with all personality types, is interested in developing close relationships with our great clients, and who desires to grow professionally. The position involves a mix of technical design and consulting, construction support, and new project scoping and proposal writing. We work in tight-knit teams that support each other and support a healthy work-life balance that is focused on development and caring for the whole person.

Qualifications

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in mechanical engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineering Registration (required)
  • US Citizenship (required)
  • Minimum 5+ years of consulting engineering experience in the Architectural/Engineering/Contractor Industry.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC and plumbing engineering (required)
  • Experience with International Building Code/International Mechanical code (required)
  • Proficient computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD.
  • The desire and motivation to learn the latest technologies and practices to enhance your professional career.
  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Active industry involvement (preferred)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in a collaborate team environment utilizing project management skills.
  • Business Development experience (preferred)
