Position Description Summary:
The Industry Professor of Management & Sport Management is a full-time, specialized contract faculty position beginning as early as Fall 2024.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be required to teach 18 credits (six-course teaching load) each academic year using their domain expertise in the fields of facility management, social, digital, and traditional media and communication, event management, and collegiate athletics including Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL). The selected candidate will also need to support advising undergrad, master's and graduate certificate students in their academic field.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must have a Ph.D. or terminal degree in a relevant field (e.g., JD) or a masters degree and a minimum of ten years of sport industry experience. Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years of teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels with both on-campus and online delivery formats. Applicants must have a teaching record that demonstrates excellence and a commitment to student advising and service. Applicants must demonstrate active engagement in NIL activities. Prior experience with an agency, as a publicist, or working with various forms of media, including social media, print, and broadcast is required.

Rank is commensurate with the qualifications.
