Job Summary

The HR Business Partner provides consultative human resources support to business units. This position will assist on the interpretation of Human Resources programs, policies, and procedures to ensure alignment with business objectives and work cultures in achieving business goals while minimizing risk to the Firm.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage and address employee relations issues with business group for appropriate resolutions including branches and other departments. Depending on issue, may work with Legal for appropriate action.
  • Provide general HR policy guidance and interpretation while maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
  • Serve as a consultant, coach, and advisor on the day-to-day management issues that arise from business unit staff.
  • Partner with management to identify opportunities to better leverage the business and human resources needs necessary to achieve business goals and objectives.
  • Manage the employee life cycle for assigned business units working with management, designated staff in the business group, and other specialty areas within HR for a cohesive process. May include assisting in various administration functions involved with onboarding to separation of employment.
  • Proactively look for ways to improve and enhance current functions within HR.
  • Lead and/or participate in various HR related projects within Employee Relations area.
  • Assist in delivering and developing training for management.
  • Assist with immigration process, new hire orientations, manager communications, and other initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Ability to influence change while bringing others together to resolve issues and disputes.
  • Demonstrate tact, diplomacy, and professionalism.
  • Ability to work well with individuals at all levels within the organization, including upper management on a regular basis.
  • Solid understanding and experience with HR body of knowledge, including Business Management & Strategy, Workforce Planning & Employment, Human Resources Development, Compensation & Benefits, Employee & Labor Relations, and Risk Management.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods and coordination of people and resources.

Education & Experience

  • Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree in HR or related field; or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum Required: 3+ years of HR Experience
  • Minimum Preferred: Financial Services experience
