JOB OBJECTIVE: The Sales Intern at Promega will focus on identifying and engaging customers who purchase Promega products, enriching the CRM with detailed contact information, including lab names and relevant keywords. Beginning with strategic accounts, the intern will progress to development accounts with high potential, as identified by the Senior Sales Representative. This role requires close collaboration with Sales Representatives to segment customers by market.

CORE DUTIES:


1. Analyze sales reports to identify academic and clinical account transactions. Cross-reference CRM and LinkedIn for new or existing contacts, noting product purchases and Helix unit presence.

2. Utilize the NIH RePORT dashboard to identify PI funding, inserting PI names under "lab name" to enhance lab-centric dashboards and facilitate connections with lab members.

3. Tag contacts in CRM with relevant programs or keywords, focusing on strategic segments like new lab start-ups, Academic Access Program, or CORE labs.

4. Assist in organizing on site stocking programs and Awareness events, as well as educational lunch-and-learns at key UW Madison locations for lead generation and relationship building.

5. Schedule and document customer meetings, including those with procurement, ensuring all details are accurately captured in CRM.

6. Demonstrates inclusion through their own words and actions and is accountable for a safe workspace. Acts with kindness, curiosity, and respect for others.

8. Understands and complies with ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements applicable to our business.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:


1. Current undergraduate or graduate student in science, veterinary or medical field, with an interest in biotech and sales fundamentals.

2. Team player with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Openness to travel, although not mandatory.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:


1. Comfortable using a computer and Microsoft Office applications.

2. Capable of moving items up to 25 pounds.

3. Capable of walking up to 3 miles in an 8-hour day.
