The Fixed Income Analyst - ALM supports the Fixed Income Strategies team by collecting, organizing, and analyzing data to produce and develop Asset/Liability Management Analyses for fixed income clients.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist senior team members in analyzing financial statements, interest rates, liquidity, and credit risk.
  • Process monthly and quarterly analyses of clients' investment portfolios/balance sheets and various risk measurements using Excel-based and other complex financial models.
  • Interact daily with senior team members and sales representatives.
  • Interact with clients to obtain data necessary to prepare analyses.
  • Manage special project demands of senior team members.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Solid math and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn new software programs.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Must be able to understand and interpret financial data.
  • Must be able to communicate their findings to their clients clearly and precisely.
  • Be able to think critically and make sound investment decisions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum required: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or business.
  • Minimum required: 0-2 years of related experience required.

LICENSES AND CREDENTIALS

  • Minimum required: SIE, FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 or must be obtained within 6 months.

SYSTEMS AND TECHNOLOGY

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
