JOB OBJECTIVE: The Sales Intern will be responsible for identifying customers who are purchasing Promega products, and, along with current Promega contacts, will enrich CRM with complete contact information that includes Lab Name and tagging with keywords. They will start with Strategic accounts and work towards high potential Development accounts as defined by the Boston Sales Team.

The successful candidate will work together with the Boston Sales Team to map out customers by Market Segment and Engage as shown below:

CORE DUTIES:

1. Academic and Clinical Accounts:

* Analyze the daily sales report and extract the sales from the academic and clinical accounts listed and cross reference the names to CRM and LinkedIn. Identify if contact has been made or whether it's a new contact (using CRM Timeline/email tracking). Fill in information about the product purchased and if a Helix unit is on site.

* Tag contacts with relevant programs (and keywords in CRM) such as NLSU, AAP or if they are part of a CORE lab.

2. Biotech, Pharma, CRO and Incubator Accounts:

* Analyze the daily sales report and identify sales from Biotech, Pharma, CRO and incubator accounts and cross-reference the names using CRM and LinkedIn.
* Using CRM Timeline, identify if contact has been made, and if not, add them to CRM and include information about products purchased and if a Helix unit is on site.
* Map out incubator sites and list the tenants at each site and identify their Company focus (using Excel). If a tenant Company is in CRM, update the Account information in CRM.
* Tag NLSU as a program for the tenants that recently joined the incubator and reach out proactively to them using Email/LI.

3. Vendor shows, lunch and learns, customer visits:

* Help the Sales Team organize Helix Launch parties, lunch and learn events, as well customer visits to support these events.

4. Organize Customer meetings and capture the meeting details in CRM.

5. Demonstrate inclusion through their own words and actions and be accountable for a safe workspace. Act with kindness, curiosity and respect for others.

6. Embrace and be open to incorporating Promega's 6 Emotional & Social Intelligence (ESI) core principles in their daily work.

7. Understand and comply with ethical, legal and regulatory requirements applicable to our business.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Undergraduate pursuing a degree or recent graduate majoring in science and/or business.

2. Interest in the business of biotech and basics of selling.

3. Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.

4. Outstanding organizational and intrapersonal skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Ability to travel, but not required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

1. Ability to use a computer/Microsoft Office applications.

2. Ability to move up to 25 pounds.

3. Ability to walk up to 5 km during the course of an 8-hour workday.
