We are looking for a Team Lead, Asset Management to join Element Fleet Management. This role is responsible for successfully facilitating the resources and processes supporting Element's portfolio of IT assets measured through objective metrics. The Team Lead, Asset Management is responsible for providing support, guidance, and mentoring to relevant team members and is accountable for the implementation of process improvements, best practice sharing, team metrics and project management as needed.
A Day in the Life
Day to Day guidance for the IT Asset Management staff
Daily, weekly, and monthly planning; issue resolution, escalations management
May participate in HR related activities to support the Director
Achieving department metrics for distribution of assets and servicing incidents ensuring the department achieves a 95% SLA success rate* Aligns to Element Leadership Capabilities
Front line responsibilities for processing complex and VIP customer requests
Ordering hardware and software licenses for 2,500 employees in North America; total hardware inventory of more than 10,000 units and maintain software administration and distribution for 36 suppliers covering over 4,500 licenses
Facilitate and lead all facets of web domain registrations and renewals
Provide input on governance for Asset Management Policies
Participate in developing strategies and processes for asset acquisition, deployment, reclamation and disposal for hardware including cell phones and software
Work with other members of the IT management groups on cross functional and enterprise initiatives that involve Asset Management
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience required
3 plus years direct asset management experience including leadership responsibilities managing large pools of hardware and software
3 plus years providing direct customer support
2 plus years with the full suite of Microsoft Office products
Demonstrated experience with Service Now or a like ITIL product
Cell phone administration experience preferred
Professional certifications to include either ITIL, CITAM, CHAMP, etc. a plus
IAITAM (CSAM) or equivalent certification a plus
Comfortable with ambiguity
Demonstrated reporting skills - in analytics as well as presenting to leadership
Extensive knowledge and experience with software management and licensing agreements, must have Microsoft and Adobe experience
Expert knowledge and experience with CMDB and ITSM tools and processes
Strong vendor management and negotiation skills
Knowledge of ITIL best practices
