Job Description

Provides day to day administrative support for the human resources function to include on-/off-boarding, employment verifications, training, electronic filing, etc. Responds to employee, manager and HR team requests and escalates issues as appropriate.

  • Supports the processing of new hires, to include assigning of onboarding experiences, tracking and downloading of new hire paperwork, and distribution of new hire information to appropriate departments/designees.
  • Responsible for the Form I-9 and E-Verification process of new hires, ensures documents provided are current and align with Federal guidelines, and files them in accordance with federal laws.
  • Processes terminations, to include exit letters, account deactivations, notification to appropriate departments/designees and electronic filing of applicable termination paperwork.
  • Responsible for monitoring and responding to inquiries to the shared HR Team email boxes.
  • Participates in a variety of HR team initiatives and makes recommendations for process improvements.
  • Makes photocopies, faxes documents, uploads employment documents into appropriate employee files, and performs other clerical functions as needed.
  • May assist with training administration as needed.
  • May serve as a back-up to and provide coverage for breaks for the Receptionist.
  • May assist with the review of company policies.
  • Processes verifications of employment (VOE), OPM investigative requests, and unemployment claims.
  • May assist with ASM recognition programs, through the processing and distribution of applicable notifications, certificates, etc.

Minimum Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or GED; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Communications, or Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • 0-2 years of HR or administrative experience
  • Ability to work onsite 1-2 days per week

Other Job Specific Skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to communicate ideas clearly and effectively in verbal and written form to a variety of audiences.
  • Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness when accomplishing a task.
    Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask, anticipate issues and meet deadlines.
  • Work both independently and as a team member in a diverse, fast-paced environment.
  • I-9 verification process using E-Verify a plus.
  • Experience with Adobe Professional a plus.
  • Experience with Survey Monkey or other survey tool a plus.
  • Experience with ADP WFN Onboarding / E-I9 Management a plus.
