About the role

Responsibilities include:

  • Operate various pieces of equipment and machinery to facilitate the receipt, transfer, stockpile, process, and unloading of municipal solid waste into the refuse pit using a frontend loader, skid steer, sweeper, etc..
  • Maintain effective equipment checks (pre and post-operations)
  • Ensure employees conduct business in a safe manner and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Perform facility inspection checks as assigned by Supervisor.

Follow and enforce all required Covanta safety policies and procedures

Position Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Must have prior experience operating heavy equipment including, but not limited to excavators, front-end loaders, and sweepers.
  • A valid driver's license and any applicable regulatory licensing are required. Possessing a CDL license is a bonus.
  • Must be flexible to work rotating shifts
