Opportunity at a Glance
The Sr. Manager of University Engagement is responsible for cultivating positive relationships between the university and its partners. They oversee the development and execution, of innovative engagement strategies that align with the university's community-building, advancement, and change initiatives. Working closely with university leadership, faculty, staff, and students, this position maintains responsibility for actively engaging all university stakeholders to leverage stories to highlight our diverse global community of lifelong learners.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the liaison between University Departments to ensure efficiency and productivity are in alignment with organizational objectives
  • Create, facilitate, and execute diverse in-person and virtual engagement opportunities, fostering involvement, volunteerism, and programming.
  • Promote increased engagement among faculty, staff, students, and alumni to strengthen admissions, student success, and the overall brand of the university.
  • Develop and execute a focused engagement plan to actively seek out and cultivate partnerships with the university, academic, internal, and external communities that align with our organization's mission and programs.
  • Promote mentorship opportunities between prospective and current students and graduate or clinical students to foster meaningful connections and guidance.
  • Collaborate with the social media, technology, marketing, and communication teams to guarantee a positive experience for stakeholders. This involves ensuring the availability of up-to-date and relevant content across webpages and related online groups.
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing and communications teams on the implementation of a comprehensive communication plan that effectively engages and informs the intended audience, inclusive of crafting university announcements, eNewsletters, student and alumni stories, social media posts, printed magazines, and online community group posts and announcements.
  • Analyzing and reporting on key performance metrics, to measure the success of university engagement efforts and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Providing thought leadership and subject matter expertise to internal stakeholders and external partners on university engagement and trends in higher education.
  • Managing budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure the successful implementation of university engagement initiatives.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing Required.
  • Master's Degree - Preferred.
  • 8+ years experience in engagement or outreach management Required and
  • Previous university advancement or related community management/higher education experience, Preferred.
  • Experience using engagement management platforms or integrated student information systems,Preferred.
  • Educational experience,Preferred.
  • Experience managing budgets, Preferred.
  • Proven leadership skills, particularly in starting new initiatives, launching successful direct marketing/outreach programs, or membership organizing activities.
  • General understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion approaches to creating a productive work environment.
  • Success at building effective community partner relationships that support mutually beneficial social change-related goals.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • PC skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, database applications, and Internet applications.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects and due dates.
  • Ability to travel to university events
  • Ability to learn and work with new software systems deployed in support of building the daily operation of the community partnership network
  • Ability to effectively communicate with executive leadership
  • Ability to work occasional weekends and evenings to support events
  • Demonstrated experience - diverse backgrounds - working with diverse communities
Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $77996.84 and $140851.54. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
