Save the Children is seeking an Associate, Finance Management to provide financial support for Save the Children's U.S. Programs. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring financial and operational processes are running timely and efficiently. You will report to the Senior Director, Finance US Programs and will execute general accounting tasks, support the management of funding sources, and assist with financial monitoring for partner subawards.

What You'll Be Doing (Essential Duties)

General Accounting (55%)

  • Partner with Advisors, Finance and Operations and Managing Director to identify and process reclasses
  • Review and process gift-in-kind inventory and expense general ledgers.
  • Follow all financial policies and processes
  • Collaborate with USP finance team to create efficiencies in the accounting process.
  • Support processing of invoices and vendor documentation as needed
  • Partner with GIK & Warehousing National team to provide up-to-date coding for partner distributions and to update needed financial trackers
  • Other duties as assigned

Sub-award Processing Support (20%)

  • Assist Advisors, Finance and Operations to review and enter sub-award expenses and process payments to partners
  • Assist Advisors, Finance and Operations with financial monitoring of partner sites

Systems Support (25%)

  • Partner with Advisors, Finance and Operations and Managing Director to identify and process system data updates for Subaward partners and Donor Awards
  • Create partnership analysis codes for distribution and subaward partners
  • Collaborate with AP, USP Procurement, IT, and others to link needed charge codes in various systems such as SpendBridge, Tenrox, Agresso, etc.
  • Support continuous improvement projects related to Education, Hunger and Resilience
  • Approach all processes with achieving simplicity and using innovative approaches

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent, plus at least 2 years of relevant experience
  • Professional proficiency in MS Office suite, especially Microsoft Excel
  • Professional proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with individuals and teams at all levels, both internally and externally
  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering and maintaining and environment of diversity, inclusion, and belonging.

Compensation

Save the Children is offering the following salary ranges for this position, dependent on candidate location:

  • Geo 3-Locations significantly below the US National Labor Cost Average: Target Salary for this position is $45,050 - $50,350 base salary.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, base salary of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location (more information on job structure is available ). Employee may be eligible for an incentive program.
