Your Opportunity:

TechSource is hiring a full-time HR Specialist to provide support to the Department of Energy (DOE)/National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Office of Defense Programs (NA-10), Human Capital and Business Operations (HCBO). You will provide administrative support to the Lead Analyst for Human Resources (HR) and Performance (HRP). You will assist with daily business operations for NA-10 staff, gather and track weekly reports, provide administrative support, and participate in various meetings.

You will work a hybrid arrangement with both work onsite at the DOE Headquarters Forrestal Building, located in Washington, DC weekly and work from home. Core hours are from 8:30 am - 5:00 pm.

What You Will Do:

  • Provide HR support to the HCBO Director, HRP Lead Analyst, and NA-10 staff by processing personnel actions in Corporate Human Resources Information System (CHRIS) Workflow (new hires, details, reassignments, realignments, and promotions).
  • Update and maintain data for Staffing Roster, Organizational Charts, Defense Programs Statistics Table, HCBO slides, HCBO SharePoint site, and hiring spreadsheets.
  • Ensure incoming and departing federal personnel information is shared with HCBO team members.
  • Assist with Performance Appraisal Management System (PAMS) activities.
  • Communicate and interact with diverse teams, leadership, internal, and external stakeholders.
  • Process temporary (detailee) assignments.
  • Review and provide input to policy and process improvement documents.

What You Will Need:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q or DoD Top Secret security clearance (must be a US citizen to obtain a security clearance). Active Q or TS preferred.
  • 10 or more years of professional HR experience in a similar role.
  • Experience managing highly confidential information.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Keen organizational, detail-orientation, and administrative skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • DOE/NNSA experience preferred.
