Overview

We are looking for an experienced physical therapist who wants MORE.

We are willing to train an outpatient orthopedic physical therapist for leadership.

NovaCare in Washington, D.C. is seeking a full time, treating outpatient physical therapist as our Van Ness center manager.

We welcome OP ortho physical therapists with at least two (2) years of experience to apply. Previous management experience is a PLUS but not required to be considered. Our leadership development program will ensure you reach your professional leadership goals at an agreed upon pace, successfully. As a treating Center Manager (or Assistant Center Manager) in the District, you will continue serving an outpatient population averaging 10-12 patients per day.

Our population is as diverse as our surrounding community. We treat teens through geriatrics to include; sports medicine, industrial, neuro, oncology, pelvic health, vestibular, concussion conditions. We look to continuously adapt and provide the necessary resources to ensure a safe environment for our patient with an ortho passionate physical therapist director. team members alike. We have one hour evals (1:1) and 45 minute returns and open five days a week requiring our leader until 630pm 2-3 times per week. No weekends.

This is a treating management position, Washington DC PT license is required to be considered.

Previous management experience is HIGHLY preferred, but not required to be considered.

We are able to train physical therapists who have at least two years of recent outpatient orthopedic experience for the additional responsibilities.

Responsibilities
  • Assume responsibility of the center and uphold executive decisions
  • Maintain and demonstrate an attitude of excellence and quality both in patient care and leadership duties
  • Utilize our local community network to effectively partner with physicians, employers, payors and case managers to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Act as a business owner to help grow and manage the center's physician relationships and patient portfolios.
  • Build and maintain local industry relationships with opportunity to develop and expand expertise in industrial services.
  • Expand and develop a team of talented Physical Therapist and Physical Therapist Assistants.

Qualifications
  • Must be a graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) accredited school of physical therapy
  • Valid State Physical Therapy License/ Registration REQUIRED to start
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week with occasional late or early shifts to accommodate patients
