Responsibilities

* Interpret diagnostic audiology results
* Complete data entry of diagnostic audiology results into computer applications used for the management, analysis and research of patient data
* Interpret and document findings after review of hospital discharge notes, history and physicals, and any internal notes from neonatologist to locate potential auditory risk factors
* Participate in the review and monitoring of data in the screener quality assurance program
* Prepare and present educational materials and unique clinical cases to management team
* Participate in state EHDI meetings and activities
* Conduct research and author content to support publishing of articles in medical journals and at professional society conferences



Qualifications

We are seeking an audiologist with an AuD degree to work in Fairfax, VA, evaluating pediatric and adult patients in both an inpatient and outpatient setting. The qualified candidate will have experience in pediatrics, Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) testing, and other electrophysiologic testing. The audiologist will be responsible for the evaluation of hearing from newborns to adults. The audiologist will be responsible for diagnosing hearing loss and reporting those results to the state, hospital, and primary care provider for further evaluation. This is a unique opportunity for a highly motivated, professional audiologist to further develop their skills and to participate in research, under a highly experienced clinical director.
