Senior Product Marketing Manager

Location: Fully Remote in the USA

Job Overview:

Our world-class Product Marketers are responsible for driving the go-to-market (GTM) strategy. They develop product messaging and positioning that feeds our campaigns, events, and sales enablement. The Senior Product Marketing Manager serves as the Learning A-Z champion for an assigned product portfolio and acts as the owner of in-market product strategy for maximizing revenue (net new, cross-sell, up-sell). This role positions product, product bundles, and value-add features and ensures the echo and amplification of that positioning throughout collateral and channels at all stages of the product lifecycle from a successful launch to end-of-life migration. This role leverages market research, competitive analysis, and voice of customer data to develop that compelling positioning, target segments, create pricing, and build incredible collateral that stands out in the market and against competition in order to develop highly targeted, effective go-to-market and annual marketing strategies for a portfolio of products.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Pioneers a team to drive revenue through effective go-to-market and annual product marketing plans with clearly defined Goals and Objectives.

  • Applies Best-in-Class Marketing Strategies to achieve revenue, use, and satisfaction targets.

  • Develops a proven understanding of the Learning A-Z product portfolio, including product functionality, features, target audience, use cases, and value proposition.

  • Has an exceptional understanding of the U.S. K-5 education space, including key roles and personas that regularly engage with Learning A-Z products.

  • Learns and synthesizes the voice of the customer, including relevant user, buyer, and market/competitive landscape through research, analytics, feedback from the field reps and customers.

  • Serves as the Learning A-Z champion for a product portfolio including:

    • Serving as chief product advocate, providing guidance to marketing and sales teams to build awareness, deepen product knowledge, and drive pipeline build and acceleration, as warranted; and

    • Representing the voice of customer in business decisions and product development.

  • Segments the market, develops positioning, storytelling, pricing, distribution, and bundling strategies that differentiate the product in the market.

  • Develops and refines sales enablement tools to support the selling process at all stages of the buyer journey.

  • Communicate the product position and story through the creation and oversight of development of the product name, visual identity, messaging strategy, and customer journey experience.

Job Requirements:

The Senior Product Marketing Manager will have a combination of strategic vision, collaborative leadership skills, a knack for ruthless prioritization, and solid strategy-to-execution experience, having worked in highly collaborative environments built to move fast.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's Degree is required

  • 5+ years work experience as a Product Marketing Manager, Marketing Manager, or Product Manager.

  • Experience in K-5 literacy, ideally with edtech.

  • Experience leading a team and coaching direct reports.

  • Exceptional track record of working on cross-functional teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects effectively.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Dynamic interpersonal skills required: Must be able to interact successfully with customers, sales team, product development team, and product management team.

  • Good time management skills and organizational skills.
