Job Description
The Distribution Center Supervisor is responsible for for giving overall direction and coordinating the activities of approximately 20-40 workers on second shift. This position is charged with ensuring that proper shipping to all customers and inventory of warehouse supplies and equipment are accurate and on time. The DC Center Supervisor is the main point of contact for special projects including prepacks, rollouts and orders requiring special handling, review, and documentation. This position is also responsible for monitoring the progress of projects and providing detailed tracking of project status from inception through completion and proactively addresses potential issues that may inhibit the smooth and timely flow around customer deliveries.
The hours for this position are Sunday through Thursday from 7:00pm until 3:30am.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
External Qualifications
Required: High School diploma or GED equivalent and 5+ years similar distribution center experience OR Bachelors Degree and 1+ year of similar distribution center experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience. Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office products (specifically Excel, Access and Word). Proven leadership abilities to effectively develop, direct, and motivate staff. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and the ability to problem solve, multitask, and prioritize work. Excellent communication, and time management skills. Can work independently or collaboratively to accomplish objectives and is able to interact effectively with all levels of management. Ability to work weekends if the business requires and the ability to get certified and operate forklift machines as needed. Ability to frequently walk and climb stairs, occasionally lift up to 50lbs, and occasionally bend/twist.
Preferred: Bachelors degree in Operations, Supply Chain or Business, working knowledge of SAP and previous management experience.
