The Role and Team

Medallia is seeking a proven B2G marketer to create and execute marketing plans that meet the PublicSector market's overall objectives. You will work with the PublicSector sales team and build strong, trusted relationships to drive their marketing plans. You'll be responsible for creating and executing public sector based customer acquisition campaigns, including events, outbound campaigns, and executive programs. You will be responsible for verticalizing content created by the content team and global campaigns team to ensure that it has the correct vernacular.

Medallia is looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and adept at developing field marketing programs to build and maintain relationships with prospective and existing customers in the public sector market. You'll also regularly collaborate across the marketing organization with content, creative, product marketing, and partner marketing (and more!) to align online activity with broader campaign initiatives.


Responsibilities

  • Drive Medallia's go-to-market strategy for the Public Sector market and influence how we prioritize and win target markets, product categories, and buyer segments.
  • Set the roadmap for marketing activities which will drive new pipeline and close open pipeline. You will align closely with sales to identify areas of priority.
  • Help evolve Medallia's go-to-market by keeping an eye on market trends, evaluating customer needs, and prioritizing activities with product marketing, sales and solutions consultant leaders.
  • Monitor competitive landscapes, market trends/threats, opportunities to promote.
  • Spread awareness and generate demand for Medallia's brand. You will develop and execute on field campaigns including events, seminars, industry trade shows.
    • You will also work cross-functionally with your marketing peers to highlight gaps and opportunities to drive further digital, webinar, social and PR needs.
  • Integrate and leverage partners and their value-added services or integrations where appropriate

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience successfully managing field marketing programs and go-to-market campaigns in a public sector environment such as civilian, DoD, state and local.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with Sales and Customers with marketing programs
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM system
  • Located in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia
  • Wiling to travel 25-30% for events and be onsite 3-5 days per month

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Google Apps and Marketo
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, interpersonal and teamwork skills, and organizational skills.
  • Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, sometimes unpredictable startup culture and environment.
  • Bachelor's degree
  • The ability to multitask and prioritize competing demands
  • Experience working in a SaaS environment
  • Demonstrated initiative and follow through in a fast-paced, fluid environment with standout marketing impact.

Medallia is committed to equal pay and transparency. The annual base salary range for this position is $122,000 - $167,000. Please note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline and combines all of the distinct labor markets within the US. It is uncommon for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on a variety of factors. Medallia considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, candidate's work location, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, external market data, as well as, market and business considerations when making compensation decisions.
