Job Description
The Senior Director of Warehouse and Inventory Management Operations will oversee PDC (Primary Distribution Center), AFC (Area Fulfillment Center) and IMM (Inventory Materials Management) operations for a specific Cox region. This position is responsible for maintaining excellent service levels for availability, delivery time and quality across internal customers (Field, Network, Cox Business. Retail) and managing costs effectively. Additionally, this role will work with all 3PL operations, responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing all activities/logistics for CPE operations and distribution of CPE and materials within the Region.

The successful candidate is responsible for implementing and administering internal operating controls, processes and practices of Contractor Managed Inventory (CMI) program. Combined value of CCI owned inventory held at multiple 3rd party contractor locations is expected to be $100+ million. This position will partner with all channels to develop, design, and implement rigorous processes and activities for the forecasting, planning and analysis of products and materials. This role is seen as a highly visible representative of Supply Chain Leadership and will have extensive interaction with all market/regional business areas. This role will recommend changes and enhancements to existing policies and controls to ensure they are current, adequate, functional, and utilized in accordance with CCI's Internal Control Governance requirements, mitigating leakage and loss related to fraudulent activity.

This individual will be the primary Supply Chain interface and interact directly with 3rd party contractor leadership and personnel regarding all inventory matters. Responsible for prioritizing and leading the successful deployment of multiple projects and programs to meet specified goals and objectives. This role partners with stakeholders, internal customers, and cross-functional teams to deliver project information.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Leadership and Partnership

  • Direct the Regional Supply Chain leadership team, including setting group and employee goals. providing formal and informal feedback and coaching direct reports towards high performance
  • Hires, develops, performance manages, and coordinates training for assigned employees
  • Supports the company's employee engagement and inclusion/diversity strategies into the integrated functional business plans.
  • Ensures performance planning, coaching, and evaluation occurs per policy; Recommends pay adjustments and promotions
  • Represent Supply Chain within the Region as the focal point to enable business. Solve issues and work in a positive collaborative manner to meet overall Cox goals
  • Participate in the resolution of escalated or cross functional issues with stakeholders
  • Participates with other leaders in developing system/corporate policies.
  • Partners with regional OSP Construction (OSPC) leadership and teams to define program strategy, deliverables, and tactics.
  • Works across OSPC and 3rd party contractor leadership & key personnel to ensure alignment in both strategy and deployments of key deliverables and quickly resolves issues that arise
  • Works with boundary partners on tools
  • Develop and presents status/results to Executive level management


Operations

  • Ensure standardization and best practices are implemented across the Region for any assigned Supply Chain functional areas.
  • Budget management, including expense, inventory and headcount, ensuring proper level of resources, while continuously improving processes and reducing total cost of ownership
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement in the areas of quality, productivity and operational efficiency
  • Drive a proactive, methodical approach to all operational areas including safety, logistics, quality, service centers and inventory management.
  • Provides recommendations for revisions or enhancements to schedules, resource allocation and production requirements
  • Ensure full Safety and OSHA rules are in place and followed in accordance with company goals
  • Ensure all audit/compliance requirements are established and adhered to. Responsible for managing and certifying all Internal Governance controls and requirements for Regional AFC/PDC inventories
  • Provide guidance and oversight for the distribution/fulfillment functions to meet/exceed customer service, cost and efficiency (productivity) expectations.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to all 3PL partners to optimally match their performance with PDC goals and objectives
  • Provide guidance and oversight of forward and reverse logistics processes across all products and assets for the local facilities and partners with Inventory Operations to ensure optimal inventory/asset levels.
  • Champion efficiency ideas, cost reduction measures and assist with implementation of changes within areas of responsibility
  • Identify and execute opportunities for material standardization (SKU rationalization)
  • Ensure material and CPE are-appropriately allocated across all local TFC and retail locations


Inventory Management

  • Manage inventory / asset transactions as necessary to ensure accurate local inventory measurements
  • Responsible for audit of CCI provided Contractor Managed Inventory (CMI) on a regional/national location basis
  • On-boarding of all 3rd party contractors to the CMI program, inclusive of training contractor on Cox inventory control policies & procedures and utilization of Cox provided mobile inventory management tool and ability to assess contractor materials handling capabilities
  • Provide management oversight of contractor inventory and deliver high quality audits and assurance service, including audit procedures, material handling and material tracking
  • Develops proactive monitoring systems/tools to safeguard and optimize company assets
  • Deliver inventory performance according to days on hand (DOH) targets (including safety-stock levels) that are approved by management for all planned SKU' s.
  • Identify and analyze trends and influencing variables and incorporate analysis in forecasting. inventory planning, and safety stock processes.


Qualifications:

Minimum

  • BA/BS degree and 12+ years' experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience in Supply Chain or Operations or related field OR Masters degree and 10+ years' experience OR Ph.D. and 7+ years' experience
  • A minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity
  • Advanced experience with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Self-starter with ability to manage projects and relationships independently.
  • Demonstrated operational, technology, and business analysis expertise.
  • Demonstrated record of influencing and decision making at multiple levels in an organization.
  • Knowledge of key operational and inventory performance metrics
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate, network, collaborate and accomplish goals through others in a diverse employee population.
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills, with specific experience in management reporting and executive writing skills. 25-50 percent travel required.
  • Demonstrated experience in start-up environment and a track record of scaling company operations to achieve operating goals
  • Experience with performance metrics and process improvement
  • Analytical skills and proven experience in negotiation with clients and business partners
  • Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal relationship building, decision making skills
  • Strong strategic agility
  • Ability to drive change and continuous improvement


Preferred

  • 6+ years of internal and/or external audit experience, ideally with exposure to financial services and business impact
  • Communications and/or Consumer business background highly desirable
  • BS/BA degree in related discipline strongly desired. Master's degree a plus
  • 3 or more years of experience in a management role preferred
  • 10+ years of successful operations management experience in a multiple/competitive industry
  • Experience in telecommunications industry desired
  • Experience leading a large operation of 50+ people
  • Familiarity/fluency with Lean Principals/Six Sigma

USD 156,200.00 - 260,400.00

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary of $156,200.00 - $260,400.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
